Easter Pictures 2013

We had a great Easter.  Church was great, I finally found a dress I liked.  I am so old school that it does not feel like Easter if I don't have an Easter Dress.  We took pictures this year over at the Blomberg's.  It was nice to have a change of scenery in the background.  The everyone came over here for dinner.  But first we had to hunt eggs.   Ray went out and hid them.  Then when all the family was here, everyone went out and helped the kids find the eggs.  I really think that adults like to hunt eggs too.  They just use the kids as an excuse.  Easter is early this year and usually the weather is chilly enough that everyone has to wear coats.  This year was perfect and I am so happy for that.  The forecast predicts cold weather again next week, so this was a gift.

First Born Crop, March 21, to 24, 2013

The First Born's went to a new house in Bedford Texas for the March crop.  The house just looks like your standard brick ranch on a semi commercial block, but the inside is just perfect for the type of weekend the group of us like to have.  We ate dinner as is our tradition at the Outback on Friday night.  On Saturday morning we at at the Old West Cafe for brunch.  We agreed that we could easily make that into another tradition.  The rest of the time we spent doing what we always do.  Scrap, talk, laugh and recharge our batteries.  For me and I hope the others, this is girl time at its best.

Busy Month

Right after the first of the year I could tell that March was going to be a busy month.  The nice thing about busy as a semi-retired person it has a different level of busyness than I would have experienced if I was still working full time.  Work itself was a little fuller.  The other notary is a tax preparer and is experiencing her own level of busyness right now and I have been doing closings at a brisk pace.  I actually have been enjoying keeping busy, but I know I will enjoy it when it slows down too.  Then for the first time there were two major crops to go to and Easter at the end of the month.  Toss in a trip to Branson for Ray, Nicole and the Grands over Spring Break there was a lot of coming and going in out house hold.  Do I enjoy it,  yes I do.  But it will be nice to have things quiet down a bit no.

Across Time and Page First Anniversary Crop

When I posted these pictures on Face book, I captioned them, Just a bunch of women with sharp scissors having a good time.  That was the truth and the story of last week end.  Across Time and Page sponsored the crop at the Best Western Airport. from Friday through Sunday.  I would call it a success even though there wasn't a huge turnout.  I like this Best Western better than the one in Park City where Scrap Funattic has their crop.  Sandy and I were the game people.  We have to plead lack of experience because we both feel we could have done better.  If Carmen does this again next year, we will be prepared.  I did ten pages and a card. Not bad production for not staying up late and going in early.  Next week is First Born Crop in Dallas.  I am just a scrapping fool.
