Happy Valentines Day to Us!

I am not going to be exact about this. I know Valentines Day was two days ago. This is the first opportunity I have had to post. Ray and I are gift exchangers. I have married friends who never give each other gifts. I have not figured out the dynamics of this. Are we too materialistic and they are more altruistic? Are they not romantic and we the epitome of romance and sharing? I could go on for a long time about the options, but it really doesn't matter.
Ray sent me this beautiful bouquet. I was the only one in my office to get flowers. You may picture ooohing and aaaahing there, but reality was compliments and that was it. We are not a jealous group of women. He told me he had requested spring flowers which are truly appreciated in the middle of this long cold winter. In my view, this was a really romantic gift, so it is perfect.
I made the card for Ray, I took the idea from the January Cardmaker Magazine. As I tell people, I can steal ideas from the best. I really like the way it turned out. manly and romantic. Ray likes handmade cards, so it was good as far as he was concerned. I also bought him a new suit, he wanted and needed one. They were on sale at Dillards, not romantic, but perfect anyway.
Coming up next are our birthdays. We are going on a cruise as the gift to each other. A week in the sun and on the sea. Perfect again.
