Father's Day

My father had been in assisted living for a few weeks when we all got together for Father's Day.  Cherished Friends has a number of common areas and everyone ate ice cream and cake. Jaunita had been very firm in her insistence that all the family members in town be there. We were all  pleased that Dad was looking so much better than when he was in the hospital.   We hoped this was the first step on the road to Dad being more like he was before he went into the hospital.  People will opt for hope at any time, even when in our hearts we know there isn't a lot to draw on.
